As expected, Lamborghini took to Quail, A Motorsports Gathering to unveil the highly anticipated Lamborghini Centenario Roadster. The anticipation was high, but the whole occasion was a bit anti-climactic seeing as the car is already sold out, and also because everybody already knew what the thing looked like.
The fact that Lamborghini Centenario Roadster is a regular Centenario with a whole in the roof aside, we have had a number of really good renderings giving us a good look at the aesthetics of the car long before its debut. But that doesn’t mean the open-top Centi wasn’t exciting to look at. We just hope those 20 people who have already paid 2 million euros plus tax for it weren’t disappointed when they saw in the flesh under the sunlight.

The dominant theme of this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance seems to be open-top limited edition super cars. After Lamborghini revealed their Centenario Roadster at another coer of the lawn we saw this, the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante, which is also going into production is limited numbers.
Apart from not having a solid roof, Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante is identical to its hardtop sibling in every way. It comes with a 592bhp V12 engine which is good for a 0 to 60 time of 3.7 seconds and a top speed of over 200 mph, and it has all the unique design touches that separates the Zagato from your run-of-the-mill Vanquish. But because it is a roadster, the Volante is that much more exclusive than the hardtop and therefore it will be the more popular, and more expensive, of the two.

We are not really big fans of heavy custom jobs finished in brash and bright colors, but every once in a while we come across one such thing that is done so tastefully, we can’t help but tip our hat in respect. This custom Corvette Z06 is definitely one of them, even though it is just way too red!

The new generation Audi R8 has not yet gotten its feet grounded properly in the market, but already it has spawn what could remain the rarest and most special variant of the car throughout its lifetime. We are talking about the Audi R8 Selection 24h, built to celebrate the victory of the R8 LMS at 2015 24 Hours Nürburgring endurance race.
With a limited production run of 24 units Audi R8 Selection 24h is not something you can hope to see out in the real world very often. Still not able to find a GT3 RS you can afford? Do not despair. What you can do instead to get some of that action is buy yourself a regular GT3 and then have it tuned. That is exactly what’s happened to this Mcchip Porsche 991 GT3 and it’s brilliant.
Well, it’s brilliant in the sense that it hasn’t cost its owner a big pile of money to procure, and it offers him pretty much the same sort of power he would have gotten from a GT3 RS. The Mcchip Porsche 991 GT3 is equipped by the tuner with a custom software Stage 2 and a full Capristo exhaust system and as a result it now makes 494 horsepower (which is very nearly 500) and 459 Nm instead of the standard figures which were 475 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque.
The only problem with this solution for your RS problem is that a lot people buy the more expensive, rarer, and more finicky GT3 RS simply because of the way it looks.

It’s a Mansory product which, in spite of being utterly vulgar, is actually pretty easy on the eyes. Sometimes it is the simplest renderings that make the most sense, or at least interest you the most. We get a ton of hyper car renderings each day in which the designer has done all sort of unspeakable things to the machine. But the one we would actually want to happen is stuff like this Honda Civic Cabrio – stuff with real world value.
Unfortunately this Honda Civic Cabrio is not something we could expect to see out in the real world seeing as Honda has no plan to make a convertible version of the Civic. But we absolutely love the idea of a cheap and simple drop-top that doesn’t have the impracticality, or the negative image, of a sports car. Say what you want, but the fact is that the simple joy of driving in good weather with the top down is lot greater than any precise coering or drifting you can pull off in a sports car.

For some reason Rolls-Royce is adamant their clientele are very fond of heading out into the nature and having a nice little picnic. It probably has to do with the old aristocratic times when the rich folk had nothing better to do. At any rate, they just aounced that the exclusive Rolls-Royce Phantom Zenith collection is getting a bespoke picnic hamper.
The idea of fitting Rollers with luxury picnic hampers is nothing new of course, but the one fitted to the Rolls-Royce Phantom Zenith models – limited to 50 units based on the Coupe and Drophead models – takes the whole hampering game to the next level. Here’s this year’s offering, a McLaren 570GT MSO concept that showcases what the commando engineers of the MSO unit can do to spice the cheapest McLaren of them all.
So let’s cut to the chase and see what sort of options McLaren 570GT MSO features that you might want to get for your own car. At the top of the list of mods we have the titanium MSO Exhaust system which has many benefits over the more traditional stainless steel. If you are a delivery van who is always late to work, do not blame yourself. You are driving a van, and those things are awfully slow. What you need is a tuned van with a good tu of speed so you can fly between places in no time. What you need is this B&B VW T6.
German tuner B&B Automobiltechnik GmbH was obviously aware of the problems van drivers face on a daily basis. So they took in this VW T6, already a fast car by van standards packing a 204 horsepower petrol engine which can propel the vehicle to 100 km/h from 0 in about ten seconds, and basically just doubled its power output. That’s right, at 400 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque B&B VW T6 is about as powerful as a Porsche Carrera S.

Monterey Car Week and Pebble Beach Concourse are quite possibly the world’s most prestigious motoring events. It takes a lot to stand out in that crowd, and nigh on impossible to become a showstopper. But it appears this year’s the show has already been stopped by this, the stuing Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Spyder.
As the name suggests, Alfa Romeo Disco Volante Spyder is an open-top version of the Alfa 8C-based Disco Volante which created quite a buzz when it was first introduced some years ago and even made Jeremy Clarkson go all soft and gooey when he drove it. The Spyder at Quail has a lovely baby blue finish with black carbon accents which accentuate the car’s exquisite line very nicely.

It’s been a while since we last saw one of these awesome real world reviews from Harry’s Garage. Now though the petrolhead king is back sporting a beard and reviewing another classic SL-Class Mercedes-Benz. Harry loves these cars, and after the R129 he showed us a while back he now has a more popular R107 1971 Mercedes 350 SL and wants to tell us about it.
This generation of the SL has one of the most iconic body shapes ever and one that seems to be aging really, really well. The lines and contours of this macho car have a nice whiff of vintage about it, but the whole thing still looks refreshingly mode. So let’s join Harry and see what owning a 1971 Mercedes 350 SL is like:

More and more tuners are upgrading their existing Porsche 991 kits to fit the facelift Mk II version. So it was about time Russian tuner TopCar refreshed their Porsche 991 Stinger GTR for the latest version of the 911, and judging by what we can see here they’ve done an excellent job.
Granted, they haven’t altered the details of the GTR kit that much, but you have admit the package does look more at home on the Mk II version of the 991 than it did on the previous version. TopCar Porsche 991 Stinger GTR has always been an elaborate styling treatment and it just works better with the elaborate details of the facelit model, especially round the back with those cool-ass taillights.

The business is booming for Porsche Exclusive department these days and they are responding to the increase in demand by expanding their reach to all the models in the range. This is one of their latest creations, the Porsche 991 Targa 4S Exclusive, dubbed rather pompously the Design Edition.
That name puts us in mind of Porsche Design products, normal stuff that cost a whole lot more than they should because they have a Porsche logo on them. But, of course, there is more to the Porsche 991 Targa 4S Exclusive Design Edition than just a few extra badges. Rolls-Royce puts out a new bespoke, special edition model every other week, and to be frank they are often vulgar, ostentatiously styled cars built to satisfy parvenu’s sense of vanity. This latest one though, the Bespoke Blue Rolls-Royce Dawn, well, it is still that but it is also refreshingly different than anything we have seen before.
The Bespoke Blue Rolls-Royce Dawn should have been called after dawn because it is finished in a lovely shade of blue that reminds one of the color of a crisp, trouble-free summer moing. It is complemented with center caps in the same colors and brushed grille, and paired with an interior which is as unique as the exterior, but we’re afraid nowhere near as refreshing to look at.

Jay Leno, as you may know, is not really a Ferrari guy. We don’t mean he hates them, but when you have a garage with 150+ cars and none of them are Ferraris, something’s definitely up. This is all very curious because Leno is Italian-American. At any rate, the man is now at least trying to get to grips with this brand as welcomes to his shop a 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB4.

The 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB4 is in many ways the forefather of today’s front-engined V12 Ferraris like the 599 and the F12. Monterey Car Week and Pebble Beach Concourse have always been significant events for Swedish hyper car maker Koenigsegg. They always reserve their most special debuts for this event. So following last year’s debut of the One:1, this year at Monterey they will introduce the new Koenigsegg Agera XS.
The latest one-off Agera will be on display alongside the company’s brand-new and yet-to-be-launched Regera which will flaunt its 1,500 horsepower hybrid power at Monetery to whet the appetite of U.S. customer prior to the car’s launch in early 2017. They are only making 80 Regeras.
As for what sets the Koenigsegg Agera XS apart from the other editions, the car showcases, above anything else, how much say the customer has in the building of his hyper car. The man who’s ordered this one got not only to name his car, the XS, he was also allowed to choose the size of his aero kit and naturally went for the biggest ever fitted to any Koenigsegg Agera ever.

Already the 2016 Monterey Car Week is shaping up to be one awesome event. We were just taking about the new Koenigsegg that’ll be introduced at the event, now check this out. Mercedes-Benz is bringing a new concept to the show called the Vision Maybach 6.
Not much is known about this mysterious car apart from what can be deduced from the dark teaser photo. But the very fact that Daimler has built a Vision Maybach 6 concept means they are not giving up on the Maybach brand like they did a few years ago and that alone is a cause for celebration. This concept could be the harbinger for what’s to come the revitalized Maybach brand, and it could be a bespoke luxury coupe in the same guise as Rolls-Royce Wraith or Dawn, or maybe even a new super saloon model.

The market these days is pretty hot for hybrid hyper cars that can do a million miles an hour and embarrass a Prius in terms of efficiency. But if we had a couple of millions of dollars lying around we’d go right past those geeky and stuff and buy something more special… something like this Cobalt Blue Aston Martin One-77.

Audi Forum Neckarsulm has long established itself as the sole destination for the world’s most unique Audi models, which is natural since the facility is kind of like the car maker’s “center of excellence.” One of the latest and uniquest models to grace the Forum with its presence is this Audi R8 LMS Art Car.

Designed by Karlsruhe-based artist Rudi Fielitz, the artistic livery on the race car features the name and logo of all the company’s affiliates and also advertises their support for Bundesverband Herzkranke Kinder e.V. which is an institution for children with heart disease.

Following its launch in the UK, the new BMW 740Le xDrive iPerformance hybrid super saloon is now gearing up to hit the U.S showrooms later this month where it will be sporting a price tag of $89,100 plus $995 Destination and Handling. What you get for that hefty sum is a vehicle for every occasion.
As mentioned, BMW 740Le xDrive iPerformance is a hybrid car powered by a four-cylinder gasoline engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology and an electrical machine integrated into the 8-speed Steptronic transmission. This system generates a very respectable 322 horsepower and, more importantly, combined fuel economy ratings of 64 MPGe and an all-electric range of 14 mile during which it can reach 75 mph. Performance-wise, the car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.1 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph.

For all the variety the SUV market offers these days, if you want a full-size, V8-powered utility vehicle but don’t have 70 or 80 grand to spend on a Cayee or a G-Wagen, you have only a few good choices. One of them is the new 2017 Nissan Armada which, at least on paper, seems to be offering some serious bang for the buck.
The rugged ad fairly handsome Armada, which people from the East might know better as the Patrol, starts at $44,400 and for that you get a 5.6 liter Endurance V8 engine with 390-horsepower and a new 7-speed automatic transmission, but only two-wheel-drive. A four-wheel-drive version in the same trim grade will cost you $47,300 (excluding the $995 destination charge), but it’s a nice option to have on a car of this size and capabilities.

As we have said before, to really appreciate what’s so good about a high-end, expensive wide body kit you have to see it next to ordinary cars. Well, that is the occasion we have here, and the wide body car in question is the magnificent Prior Design Mercedes AMG GT.
Now, this car looks mighty impressive in the heavily edited press photos, but we always had a little bit of reservations about it knowing not many tuner cars can bare close scrutiny out in the real world. Bored with tuing already fast BMWs into even faster BMWs, G-Power is now exercising their engineering genius on Mercedes-Benz cars with astonishing results. The latest is this G-Power Mercedes G63 AMG to which the tuner has taught many new tricks.
The crazy-colored G-Power Mercedes G63 AMG arrived at the tuner’s workshop with the standard 570 horsepower output which many would consider too much for a SUV with a ladder chassis. What they did to it next was fit the 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8 engine with the G-POWER Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module, which is basically an ECU remap. And just like this the output went up to 645 hp (474 kW) and 900 Nm, surpassing AMG’s own V12-engined G65 AMG.
